Pope John Paul II was born in Poland May, 18, 1920 and in 1929 his mother past away from childbirth while giving birth to his sister Karol. His father was a heavily religious man and graduated from Jagiellonian University. When he became Pope he was the first non Italian born pope in 400 years. One day Pope John Paul was shot twice because of an assassination plot but he pulled through and just like the bible he forgave his assassin. But in 2001 he was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease and in April 2, 2005 he passed away in the Vatican city, 3 million people lined up to say there goodbyes.
